We built a website builder because the existing ones were not built for AI search.

Lovable, Wix, Framer, Webflow, Squarespace, 10Web, Durable. Every one is great at what it was designed to do. None were designed for the question that mattered most in 2026: will ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude or Gemini quote my site?

The thesis

For twenty years, the question for any small business website has been "does it rank on Google?". The answer to that question is now downstream of a different question: can an AI platform parse, trust, and recommend the site?

Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and the new generation of LLM-powered search products do not work the way Google's blue links did. They retrieve a small number of sites per query, parse them into chunks, and quote the chunks. A site that does not parse cleanly does not get quoted. A site that does not get quoted does not exist for an AI-search user.

The big builders ship beautiful sites. They do not ship sites that parse cleanly. We measured. The gap between "looks great" and "AI-quotable" is the gap BuilderWeb closes.
